Pat Gilmour was recently presented with her 50 year long service badge by Margaret Dean, deputy president of Girlguiding Fife and former Lord Lieutenant of Fife.  Pat was presented with the award in the same hall where she has been Brown Owl of 1st Limekilns brownies and where she has given 50 years of devoted service.  Pat was joined by current and former guiding leaders in Limekilns and fellow commissioners and friends from across Fife, including those from West and South West Divisions, where Pat also served as commissioner.

Pat shared many happy memories with the group of working and inspiring generations of girls and commented on the many friends she has made in Guiding.  Pat joined 1st Limekilns Brownies in 1954 when it reopened after a long gap and progressed through Guides before returning to 1st Limekilns Brownies as a Pack Helper and then Leader in training.  Pat shared tales of walks through Broomhall Estate in the dark, treasure hunts around the village and pack holidays at Logie and Balmullo.
