On Sunday 14th May over 100 people attended the annual Girlguiding Fife Award’s Ceremony at St. Bryce Centre in Kirkcaldy. Awards were presented to 24 new leaders and long service recipients by Dorothy Wilson, County President and Margaret Dean, Deputy President. Over 500 years’ voluntary service to Girlguiding Fife was recognised at the ceremony with one or two in particular worthy of mention; Wilma Page has served Guiding for an impressive 50 years. Jean Robinson and Janet Hyslop both received the UK Good Service Award for their outstanding contribution to Guiding.
Elizabeth Meacher, Fife County Commissioner, thanked all leaders for their continued dedication and commitment to Guiding. The photograph shows all of the worthy recipients. There are 3,100 Guiding Members in Fife.
