Girlguiding Fife AGM

Girlguiding Leaders from across Fife met at the Gilvenbank Hotel, Glenrothes on Friday 27thNovember for the AGM. The meeting was followed by a meal and a talk by Liddy Laird. Liddy and her Newport Brownies have raised funds to support a school in Uganda called Uphill School. They funded a water tank, have exchanged cards with the pupils and are now helping to fund upgrading the school.

There are over 3,200 members of Guiding in Fife and 100 of the leaders attended the AGM. Elizabeth Meacher, the County Commissioner thanked all of the leaders for providing a varied and interesting programme for the girls at the 183 units each week.

The photograph shows Margaret Dean CVO, Deputy President Girlguiding Fife, presenting the County Award to Lorraine Priessman, who accepted the award on behalf of all Guides in Glenrothes.
